Nostalgia and Smells

The smell of Jasmine Agarbatti wafts through the air. Suddenly, wherever I am I relate that odor to the pooja room of our home. Our noses have a way of sniffing out nostalgia.

I stepped into an elevator and a bunch of people piled in behind me. I was behind a woman with her back to me and I could smell the sandal wood Perfume smell and I hadn’t smelled it in years. It seemed like I was transported back to the living room of our home where the smell of the sandal wood comes through the statues and Momento.

I was walking in the road and suddenly a kind of smell came. I suddenly remembered the kitchen of my home. I was not able to identify the smell but I could associate to my kitchen where my mom did my favorites amboda, bonda, batata vada our kitchen used to be of same smell.

Our family went on a trip to Nagarhole and Bandipur after a long time. We were travelling amidst the trees in the forest enjoying the trip. I could smell the Nilgiri tree suddenly I remembered our bed room, which has Nilgiri smell as my grand mom uses Nilgiri oil to relieve the pain of her joints.

 A stinky smell came into my nose while I was playing near the lake and suddenly I remembered our bathroom with the diaper bag of my toddler son lying for more than a day without the air fresheners.

Love to Party

A person has a professional, personal and social life.I will be busy from Monday- Friday at my work.Weekend is a nice time to enjoy with family and closest friends.
When it comes to hosting a party a lot of work is required.
1) First and foremost is : Selecting a beautiful place for partying, where everyone is comfortable.According to me, home is the best place for partying as it is the convenient place for me, my children and my friends.
2) Second is: Arranging the place chosen. Since it is the same house,the house needs some party accessories that gives the party feel.Renting bounce house, water slides, interactive games for children.Arranging for musical chair,antakshari, card game for adults

Never Ignore Warning signs

This is a real incident. In late 90's the health care industry was developing. There was a lot of ignorance in people about the health care.
A couple was newly married.Their life was going fine.They had a son.He was a good father,a good husband and a responsible government employee.

When he was in his forty's he was prone with uncontrollable head shaking and dizziness.He did not give any attention to it in the start.Later on the dizziness became more and it was noticeable to his wife and his
family as well. The family as well were ignorant and did not give any attention to it thinking "It's not serious ,a common one".Within a year when his daughter was just born, he was dead. He was diagnosed with dangerous heart attack combined with low blood pressure.The ignorance by a responsible person and by his family gifted his two children a life without father and a widow life to his wife.

Some warning signs are breath taking gifting unrecoverable loss to you loved ones,Please don't ignore.

The moral of the story is "since we are not doctors and things are not common always,any unusual abnormal sign in the body always remember your doctor is a just a call away".Better to call rather than being sorry.

Ramp ready Hair

I am gifted with straight hairs. I always feel proud of my straight hairs as I think they symbolize me. Unfortunately right from child hood I had only bob cuts, U-cuts in an effort to keep my hair short. So every time I went to the hair stylist they used to praise my hairs. I was on seventh cloud each time anybody would praise my straight hairs. My colleagues were jealous of my straight hairs. They started uttering in spite of those beautiful straight hairs. She always has the same hair style. It made me feel bad. I never used any conditioners except the natural shikakai. Now was the time for me to change and prove myself in front of every body and sustain the pride of my unique straight hairs.I went to salon one day and spent a lot of money just to get a new look but by the time I reached my office after a long journey in the Bangalore traffic my style had paled off. 3)      After that I used my little finger to go all the way up and started twisting

5)      Work all the way to the back of my ear and fastened my twists with bobby pins placed parallel to the twists

Dream of braids

I am gifted straight hairs. I am very proud of my hairs. When I was 5 years, I thought of having braids to my gifted straight hairs. But my mom was a working single mom and had no time to make braids for me. Since they will scold in schools whenever my hairs turned long  I was made to have a bob cut. In spite of having straight hairs I never got the chance to have braids. I used to look at the other children who used to come to school with braids. They said their mom's used to put coconut oil to their hairs daily, weekly once castor oil bath with shikakai and maintain the hairs in order to have nice braids .This was all natural.

As I turned little older around 13-14 years I was so attracted to the braids that I learnt to braid the hairs by myself and my new avatar to the school was this :

The ends of the braids used to be dead and falling always. I used to ask my friends for suggestions. I shifted from shikakai to shampoo.For a few days did not notice any change. I regularly used conditioners and then it was kind of getting better. Finally in a year I had braid hair with perfect ends. I was very happy and my dream to have beautiful braid hairs became true. I love you  my braids, please please please be with me always was my mantra. Even today I have braided hairs that my daughter is proud about. Today when she asks me to braid her hairs, i remember my good old days. World has changed a lot but till today the craze to have perfect braid hair haven't changed.

Experience makes hair perfect

I was waiting for the sample to arrive. But it didn't. I inquired with the company and then finally the sample arrived. My family was very happy about the sample. I have a tricky hair type to handle; many hair stylists are prone to just hack it off as a result, but I've always wanted it long. My hair is very fine, almost like baby hair which breaks and splits easily, and naturally curly so prone to dryness and frizz, but because it is so fine, it's easily weighed down and can become greasy quickly. I've experimented with a wide range of shampoos and conditioners.But the experience with Sunsilk Perfect Straight was really surprising and awesome.

The first week:

Initially my hair was greasier than normal, but for a few hours before the greasy took over, it was beautiful. It had far more body, volume and shine, straightness and even less frizz surprisingly. Sadly, it became greasy and weighed down within a few hours. As time passed, it started taking longer and longer for the grease to build up. 

Within the next few weeks I expect dandruff will be mostly gone, and my hair looks better than ever.
